about us

How it began
Kristi, a grateful Sarcoma Survivor, started Cancer Charity 4 Life to fund research after she was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer. It opened her eyes to the need for more research to help doctors better understand a category of cancers that aren't widely known to the public like Alveolar Soft-Part Sarcoma (ASPS)- an incredibly rare type malignancy of the connective tissues, bone, muscle, nerves and fascia that hold the muscles together.
Our goal at Cancer Charity 4 Life is to fund research for this ever-growing disease and thus cultivating hope for those affected.
A note from our founder
The diagnosis has also strengthened her faith, which she believes God had a reason for allowing the disease into her path of life, leading her towards helping others.
“Life really isn’t about me. It’s a lot more than that... I really feel blessed that God gave me something so difficult that really forced me to figure out what I really believe and why I believe it.”
The path she had before had always been easy and/or will ever be. She have been scared, anxious, worried, afraid, withdrawn, uncertain and overwhelmed. Having a profession in health and wellness, coaching others in overall health and accomplished triathlete has given her the experience with fighting through the mental and physical struggles of gruelling long distance triathlons and apply the same principles to achieving the goal of choice and changing those thoughts into gratitude, hope, kindness, positive, peace, faith, encouragement and try and inspire others to do the same.
She believes that the scar that has been left on her leg is a great representation of how something that was so horrible and so ugly and so difficult in my life has really become something so beautiful — and it’s giving her a passion that she didn’t have.
Her purpose is to give back and make a difference, even if it means being an inspiration to anyone who needs it - not only as a cancer survivor, but a fighter. I will continue to train for triathlons and ironman competitions, mentoring others with illness and always encouraging those around her to be positive and keep fighting! She also would like to see the colour YELLOW becoming as well known as PINK in awareness.
Pursue a dream that you are PASSIONATE about that makes a positive impact on others and give THANKS everyday!
"Be of good courage, and I will strengthen your heart. I want you to face adversity with confidence and firm determination. Because I am with you, you have everything to be bold. cowardliness is not of My kingdom. When you are feeling overwhelmed by your circumstances, remember who you are - a child of the eternal King!"
Be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart, all you hope in the Lord.
